Our Mission

California OM Murugan Temple , A Landmark to bring unique Spiritual, Cultural and Language experience representing World Hindus

As the Hindu community continued to grow in Placer County and in particular Roseville/Rocklin/Lincoln area, OMT realized the need a Hindu Temple where we could worship, share our cultural heritage with others and pass on our traditions to today and future generations for the coming decades. A thousand-mile journey must begin with a single step. OMT has been established with that journey. A dream was born. To transform this dream into reality. In 2019, OMT board was formed, great pains were taken to develop and frame our constitution. Now, we were happy to find that our California OMT would be recognized as a non-profit organization both by the State of California and the Internal Revenue Service. This recognition was a giant leap forward towards our noble cause.

OMT was planned to acquire property to build a Traditional Hindu Temple in Roseville. The dream of proper Hindu Temple and Cultural Center is still alive but we have to be realistic of the rising costs to construct something new, decided to acquired/Leased 3000 to 5000 sq.ft property in Roseville and start the journey. OMT team has been working actively for the past few months to turn this dream and vision to realty. With the support of our Hindu community and generous donors, we have reached to 30% of the total cost of Phase-1. Now, more than ever, we needed the support of the Indian community as a whole. We needed some way of informing everyone. It can do it only with the help of Almighty’s blessings and the community support.
